Anney’s Closet

Our community needs our support more than ever! If you have ‘gently used, like-new’ household items you are ready to part with then we hope you will consider Anney’s Closet . Anney’s Closet is a “free store” for women who are transitioning to a new, usually independent living situation. Anney’s Closet “shoppers” are often fleeing violence, domestic abuse or other unsafe living situations, or aging out of foster care. You can find donation days on their Facebook page or contact me if you have items you would like me to pick-up!

2024 property assessments are here

Most property owners in Greater Victoria will see minor drops in assessed value of between 1-4%, as the high-interest-rate environment impacts the real estate market. The BC Assessment vaue is the estimate of a property’s market value as of July 1st and may not be a reflection of your home’s true market value – connect with me any time if you’d like to discuss your specific situation!

Times Colonist Christmas Lights Map

Since my boys were little one of our most cherished family traditions is getting into jammies, grabbing some popcorn and hot chocolate and then driving all over town to look at all of the amazing holiday light displays from the Times Colonist Christmas Lights Map . If you have an incredible display of your own you can email christmaslights@timescolonist.com to request your address be added to the map! A print version of the map will appear in the paper on Saturday, Dec. 16th, but they keep updating the online version throughout the holiday season!

Another way to give back this holiday season is in donating to the Times Colonist Christmas Fund . This fund is in its 67th year of raising money for those in need and is well on the way to their goal to $1,000,000.
